Bucerias is a small, authentic Mexican town located 25 minutes drive north of Puerto Vallarta airport.

Spend your days exploring the charming cobblestone streets and artisan doorways of Bucerias. In just 30 minutes, you can stroll from one end of this quaint town to the other, discovering hidden gems along the way. Browse through art galleries, boutique shops, and colorful taco stands, immersing yourself in the local culture.
If you crave the sound of crashing waves and the feel of soft sand beneath your toes, head down to the water's edge. Enjoy miles of pristine beach and spoil yourself with a selection of seaside restaurants. Enjoy a leisurely meal in the shade, or simply relax on a lounge chair while sipping your favorite beverage. Take a refreshing swim in the ocean, and perhaps indulge in a bucket of reasonably priced beer and some delicious snacks.
In the heart of town, you'll find the bustling main square and local market. Join the vibrant energy as locals and visitors mingle, creating a lively atmosphere. Visit food vendors offering mouthwatering treats such as tacos, crepes, churros, and even warm candied nuts. Indulge your sweet tooth with a scoop of ice cream or gelato.
The local market is authentically Mexican and a lovely way to spend an afternoon browsing fro everything from cozy blankets and beautifully crafted pottery to elegant glassware, t-shirts, and souvenirs - you'll find something for everyone.
As the heat of the day starts to fade, immerse yourself in the vibrant nightlife of Bucerias. Many bars and restaurants open in the late afternoon, offering live music and dancing but you might also enjoy a game of pool, Music Bingo or crib and trivia tournaments. Sports bars are the perfect place to catch your favourite team.
Bucerias truly offers a multitude of experiences within a short distance. Whether you choose to explore the town's streets, relax on the beach, or indulge in the local cuisine and vibrant nightlife, you're sure to create unforgettable memories.

Transportation in Bucerias is convenient and hassle-free. Getting a taxi home from restaurants or designated taxi stands is a breeze, ensuring a smooth journey back to your accommodation. However, it's always advisable to inquire about the fare before entering a taxi, especially during peak periods when prices may be slightly higher.
Buses are a reliable option, with frequent departures every 10 or 15 minutes along the highway making it easy to travel south into Puerto Vallarta or north to towns like Punta Mita, Sayulita, and San Pancho. Additionally, the availability of Uber and InDrive services in Puerto Vallarta extends to Bucerias as well. However, bear in mind that these services may require additional waiting time as they might be arriving from outside the area.
If you choose to rent a car during your stay, rest assured that secure underground parking facilities are available within the building premises, accommodating one car per suite. Alternatively, complimentary street parking can also be found nearby.
While there is a centralized taxi phone number for your convenience, it's worth noting that during busy periods, you might be advised to call back when there are more taxis available.

Airport taxis have set rates, ensuring transparency and eliminating any potential confusion. As you exit the building, a helpful staff member will guide you towards purchasing your taxi ticket at the office window located just outside.
Once you have your ticket, you can confidently hand over your luggage and voucher to one of the waiting taxis. In case of a busy period, a designated taxi line is available to manage the flow efficiently.

Chedraui, the closest major grocery store, is conveniently situated at the south end of town just a few blocks up from the Royal Decameron Hotel, near the main highway. While some people prefer the larger Mega or La Comer for a wider selection, particularly during high season when the weekly farmers' market takes place in the La Comer parking lot, all the grocery stores in the area are easily accessible by bus or taxi. However, if you're looking for quick access to fresh flowers, seafood, meat, gourmet coffee, fruits, produce, tortillas, and other essential items, you'll find numerous small tiendas nearby.

Easy day trips to the charming towns of Sayulita, Punta Mita & San Pancho are very popular and taxi, uber and private drivers are close at hand if you're don't want to rent a car.

A day in Puerto Vallarta is definitely worthwhile, particularly to see the weekly Saturday market or to experience the self guided Art Walk.

The Sunday market near the La Cruz marina showcases crafts, artisans and many home-made specialty food items. Be sure to check out the fish market to take home your own fresh catch for dinner.
